Lewis Johs Names Three New Partners for 2019

Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP announces the promotion of three lawyers to its partnership: Karen M. Berberich, Kevin G. Mescall and Martin K. Rowe.  These partnerships are a result of the firm’s commitment to the advancement and recruitment of talented lawyers in a way that serves to grow the practice to align with client needs.

Berberich focuses her practice in the area of insurance coverage.  She provides coverage advice on all types of insurance issues arising under personal and commercial policies and litigates insurance matters in state and federal courts.  She earned her J.D. from St. John’s University (1997) and her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany (1994).  She resides in Sayville, NY.

Mescall focuses his practice on the defense of significant bodily injury and property damage claims involving products liability, construction site accidents, New York State Labor Law absolute liability, construction defects, professional indemnity, automobile accidents and complex insurance coverage disputes. He also handles appeals in these areas. He received a BA from the University of Notre Dame in 1979 and a JD from St. John’s University in 1982. He spent a year in London seconded to Xchanging Claims Services, part of the Lloyds London Market.

Rowe focuses on litigation and trials of all matters of civil litigation, premises liability, vehicular negligence, labor law, products liability and property damage. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (1989) and his B.S. in Economics and Finance from The University of Scranton (1983). He resides in Douglaston, NY.
