Kevin D. Clinton is a senior associate in the firm’s New York City office. His practice focuses on the defense of employers in all manner of cases, including those alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, discharge and demotion. He also defends administrative proceedings at the federal, state and municipal levels and represents employers in wage and hour audits and litigation. Kevin litigates insurance defense matters, including general liability matters, automotive and trucking liability matters and cases involving alleged medical malpractice.
Prior to joining Lewis Johs, Kevin was associated with a boutique litigation firm. There, he defended motor vehicle accident cases against rental companies and their customers, litigated professional liability and employment practices liability cases and resolved insurance coverage disputes. Kevin was also an employment practices liability claims analyst for a large global insurer and was a Legal Unit Intern for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In 2019, Kevin gave a presentation on the ever-evolving concept of joint employment at the 1st Annual Wage & Hour ExecuSummit, an educational event specifically designed for wage and hour professionals.
Kevin is admitted to practice law in the Courts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He was admitted to practice law before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2016 and lower federal courts in 2011.
Kevin received his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School in 2010 and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Siena College in 2002.
Kevin was named a Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star in 2018 and 2019.
