LISA M. LANDERS OBTAINS SUMMARY JUDGMENT ON BEHALF OF NURSING HOME

Lisa M. Landers was successful in obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a nursing home defendant in the Supreme Court, Queens County.  The Court found that Ms. Landers proved, prima facie, that the nursing home was entitled to summary judgment on each of plaintiff’s claims, including failure to prevent pressure ulcers, violations of the Public Health Law, and inadequate staffing. The Court further found that plaintiff failed to raise a triable issue of fact in opposition.  As such, the Complaint was dismissed as to the nursing home.
