Attorney Commercial Litigation

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Attorney specializing in Commercial Litigation to join our legal team. Successful attorney applicants must be capable of independently handling full case load from inception to trial, have good verbal and written communication skills and experience conducting and defending depositions relating to complex commercial litigation matters.

Duties and responsibilities include –

• Manage and oversee all phases of commercial litigation caseload.
• Assist in covering the calendar.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests.
• Conducting depositions of all parties and non-parties, producing clients for deposition, meeting with experts.
• Represent and handle all aspects of litigation and trial.
• Maintain meticulous case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in commercial litigation with a strong understanding of litigation procedures and courtroom protocols.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with research techniques is essential.
• Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting of pleadings, briefs, and memoranda.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients’ interests during settlement discussions or dispute resolutions.
• Legal administrative experience to manage case documentation efficiently and adhere to deadlines.
