Lewis Johs Names Two New Partners
Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Theresa Scotto-Lavino and Amanda Dickens to partnership. These promotions demonstrate the firm’s dedication to developing its attorneys and delivering outstanding legal service to clients.

Theresa Scotto-Lavino (“Teri”): For more than 20 years, Teri has focused on complex general liability and defense litigation, including medical malpractice, healthcare negligence, premises liability, property damage, elevator and escalator accidents, security matters, negligent hiring and supervision, lead paint, and dram shop cases. She has successfully argued appeals in New York’s Appellate Divisions. Before joining Lewis Johs, she prosecuted Family Court matters for the Administration of Children’s Services. Teri is a graduate of New York Law School.
Amanda Dickens: Amanda concentrates on complex insurance coverage matters across personal and commercial lines. She advises on and litigates contractual indemnification, hold harmless agreements, waivers of subrogation, and other contract-related issues. Before joining Lewis Johs, she worked in-house for an insurance carrier, litigating no-fault insurance disputes. Amanda is a graduate of Hofstra University Law School.
