Appellate Win for Lewis Johs in Snow and Ice Case

April 17, 2007. The Appellate Division, Second Department affirmed the order of the Supreme Court denying the motion of the property owner for summary judgment on its contractual indemnification claim against Lewis Johs’ client, the contractor who performed snow removal services in the parking lot where the plaintiff slip and fell. In Gil v. Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., et al., the Appellate Division agreed with Lewis Johs’ argument that the property owner failed to establish that it was free from negligence with regard to plaintiff’s accident. Michael G. Kruzynski handled the appeal.
