February 2007.  After a 4 and 1/2 week trial in the Supreme Court, Queens County, before The Honorable Allan Weiss, Lewis Johs partner F. Sean Rooney received a defendant's verdict on behalf of his clients, two pediatricians and their professional corporation.  The matter centered on a claim that the defendants failed to timely diagnose and treat Kawasaki's Disease in an 11 year old male resulting in giant and large coronary artery aneurysms placing the young man at risk of sudden death and myocardial infarction.  The jury found that the pediatricians did not depart from accepted standards of medical practice as the diagnostic criteria for Kawasaki's Disease were not sufficiently present.
