July 2010.  Lewis Johs was invited to lecture at the Judicial Institute in White Plains, New York.  Lewis Johs Attorney Elizabeth A. Fitzpatrick presented an update on important insurance coverage issues and trends to the New York State Judiciary.  This presentation was live and was also available as a webinar.  Ms. Fitzpatrick addressed the recent amendments to New York Insurance Law Section 3420.  The amendments require an insurer to demonstrate prejudice to disclaim for late notice.  Ms. Fitzpatrick also discussed recent case law involving additional insured coverage issues, intentional and criminal act exclusions and the developing law regarding insurer bad faith in New York.
